DESCRIPTION:  \n \nRandy started playing guitar on the front steps of his home in West Burke Vermont in 1973.\nAt nine years old\, under the watchful eye of his dad Francis\, Randy after mastering the basics\, would find himself at\nhouse parties jamming and stealing licks from anyone he could.\nAt 12 he was playing in local bands and at 13 Randy played live on the radio at WDEV on\nDick Longfellow’s Saturday morning music show with Bill and the Rhythm Riders.\nOnce he entered high school he played with local bands such as Southern Comfort and Easy Country.\nIn 1983 he joined the iconic group called the Green Mountain Band.\nWhile with the Green Mountain Band the group opened for such stars as Patty Lovelace\,\nRicky Van Shelton\, and Micky Gilley.\nThe group played at most every club in the NEK and NH.\nDuring this time Randy recorded a solo album called Takin Chances.\nAfter writing and doing all the instrumentation for the nine song recording at  the Sound Design Recording Studio\nin Brattelboro co-produced with Jim Miller Productions\, he received air play and interviews at radio stations\nthroughout the state of Vermont with his song “Nobody Gets the Blues” breaking inside the top 40 charts at WNSO Radio.\nThe Green Mountain Band disbanded in 1994 and gave way for a new endeavor for Randy called “Milestone”\nThe Milestone band played the NEK and opened up for Jeff Carson (The Ride) at the Caledonia County Fair in 1996.\nIn 2000 the band came to an end and Randy took a break before being coaxed back into music in 2004 by the creation of the Krazy Kountry Band.\nRandy enjoys playing all kinds of music but loves pure country the most and has blended a tasteful style based on the licks of many players combined.

He is a two-time Blues Music Award (BMA) nominee. Fueled by his love of deep Southern soul and blues\, Keller’s performances ring out with passion\, integrity\, and an ability to break down the barriers between performer and audience.\nHis new album\, You Get What You Give: Duets (Tastee-Tone Records\, Dec. 2020)\, hit #6 on the Living Blues radio chart (the gold standard for soul and blues airplay). It features some of the finest singers in the roots music world (Joe Louis Walker\, Trudy Lynn\, Johnny Rawls\, Annika Chambers\, Dawn Tyler Watson\, etc.) joining Keller on a batch of his brand new original songs. All money from album sales is being donated to groups working for racial justice and equity.\nIn early 2020\, Keller released his first-ever live album\, Live At The Killer Guitar Thriller! (Tastee-Tone Records)\, which won the Tammie Award for Best Album of the Year. His previous studio CD\, Every Soul’s a Star was produced by Grammy-winner Jim Gaines (Santana\, Stevie Ray Vaughan\, Tower of Power)\, and released on esteemed soul/blues label Catfood Records. It earned a 2019 BMA nomination for Best Soul Blues Album\, and hit #1 on the Roots Music Report Soul Blues chart.\nThe press has been particularly enthusiastic. AXS.com named Keller one of “The Best 13 Blues Singers”\, and he has been featured in USA Today’s notable songs of the week. France’s renowned Soul Bag recently featured Keller in a full-page interview. Elmore magazine calls Keller\, “a magnificent soul singer\, his luxuriant voice rising flawlessly to every occasion.” And U.S. standard bearer Living Blues calls Keller’s music “moving and powerful…confirms his rightful place in the soul universe…Steve Cropper-like riffs and soaring vocals…songwriting genius…straight-to-the-heart soul.”\nBased in Vermont since 1993\, Keller grew up in Massachusetts where he picked up guitar at age 16\, but amazingly\, didn’t begin singing in public until age 20. Discovered by legendary blues guitarist Ronnie Earl (Keller guested on Earl’s BMA-nominated 2010 album Living In the Light)\, Keller learned his art firsthand from some of the deepest soul and blues musicians: Johnny Rawls\, Robert Ward\, Paul Rishell\, and Mighty Sam McClain.\nHe has released nine CDs\, including the 2014 BMA-nominated Soul Changes\, recorded with Al Green’s original Hi Rhythm Section in Memphis. Keller is also the 2012 winner of the International Blues Challenge’s Best Self-Released CD Award. He has performed at the largest blues festivals in the East (e.g.\, PA Blues Fest\, North Atlantic Blues Fest)\, and top venues such as B.B.
